Kofenya was founded in 2004 by two Miami University seniors with a vision to create a welcoming space for both Oxford residents and Miami students — a place to gather, connect, relax, and, of course, caffeinate. While the paint on the walls and the menu items may have evolved over the years, the spirit of Kofenya remains unchanged: it’s a local haven where everyone is welcome to sit and stay awhile.

The shop continues to embrace a “third place” environment — a cozy space between home and work where guests of all walks of life can feel at ease. In addition to this inviting atmosphere, Kofenya is committed to serving quality specialty coffee and a thoughtfully curated food and drink menu. From perfectly pulled cortados and creative seasonal lattes to gourmet toasts, pastries, and casual cocktails, there's something for everyone. With its open layout and friendly staff, Kofenya also makes a fantastic venue for both public gatherings and private events.
